Susan Shaw is an award-winning web designer, internet marketer, and user-interface expert.

In addition, Susan is an associate at Raleigh Mayer Consulting, where she partners in internet communications strategy. She is also a member of the Communications and Digital Media committee for the Financial Women’s Association.

As CEO and Founder of Hyperspace Cowgirls, a digital development and technology company serving clients such as IBM, Cablevision, Scientific American, and Disney, Susan received a number of awards including: The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Award, Forbes Best of the Web, Newsweek’s Top 50 CD-ROMs of the Year, Computer Times’  Editor’s Choice, Home PC  Reviewer’s Choice Award, The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Interactive Achievement Awards and the Parents Choice Award for Children’s Software. 

Susan was a charter member of the New York City Mayor’s Council on New Media, Co-produced and hosted the information technology show, Digithead for Cablevision and Comcast and has also been a featured guest on ABC-TV and the Oxygen network.

Susan has taught at New York University in the Information Technology arena and was a guest lecturer at Yale University and a member of the adjunct faculty at Stevens Institute of Technology. She is currently a professor in the Communication Arts department at St. Francis College.

Continuing to utilize her 25 years of marketing experience providing internet and multi-modal consulting and production, her marketing, branding and production clients include IBM, Avon, Disney, Scholastic, Random House, Time Warner, Cablevision, ALMA, Women in Sports and Events, Toshiba, and Better Homes and Gardens.

Susan is a 2010 recipient of a Wexner Art & Tech residency and 2009 residency fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center, whose recent awards include: Finalist for Painting, Annual Haym Salomon Arts Awards Competition; a 2009 AVA gold award for the video “Michael’s Snow” and a 2008 AVA gold award for “The Mermaid Parade.” which was also selected for the 2009 Coney Island Film Festival. Public and corporate collections include: The Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The International Museum of Photography, The Israel Museum, The Alternative Museum, Chase Manhattan Bank, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Glaxo Corporation, IBM, Southeast Banking, Security Bank and Pacific National Bank.
